Artist's Bio
Karyl Lange Hawkins, (Klay Hawk Studios)
Born and raised in Galesburg, IL, I was introduced to clay early and went on to get a B.A. with a fine arts option at Northeast Missouri State University, Kirksville, MO. I traveled and pursued oppurtunities in clay until meeting my husband and settling in Newton county, Arkansas in 1985. After years of watching me work in clay Robert joined me and continued to challenge me in taking clay to it's limits until his passing in 2010. We took first place in the 2005 Eureka Springs Fall art Fair in 3 dimensional. In 2009 we were accepted into the George Ohr National Art Challege.
